I’m Anna Zeide, an Clinical Assistant Professor in the History Department at Oklahoma State University.

I study the history of food, environment, consumerism, and justice. My current book project focuses on the history of canned food, to understand the deepest roots of the American food industry. Canned: The Rise and Fall of Consumer Confidence in the American Food Industry (2018) is part of the California Studies in Food and Culture series, out of the University of California Press.
